Beginning with Windows XP, you can now press the Window-L key sequence to lock your workation (or return to the Welcome screen if not joined to a Windows domain). This is a very convenient shortcut, since you can press it with a single hand if you ever get up from your workstation and need to lock it for security purposes. Unfortunately, on Windows 2000 it was necessary to press Ctrl-Alt-Del and then select the "Lock Workstation" button. Sometimes that section step is missed or is mistyped, because I sometimes see people press Ctl-Alt-Del and walk away from their desktop without realizing that it did not actually lock their workstation. This is a small application that is intended to be run on Windows 2000 systems to allow you to press the "Window-L" key sequence (assuming you have a 104-key keyboard with the Window key) to directly lock your workstation. This is much more convenient, since you can now simply press the same key sequence on Windows 2000 or Windows XP without having to change your behavior.
